EL ALMEJAL RAINFOREST & BEACH LODGE ★★★

The lodge is located in an unrivalled position surrounded by jungle and 2km of beaches. It is a one hour drive on a country road from Bahía Solano airport. El Almejal is a private natural reservation with educational trails and a natural swimming pool of flowing water. The cabin style resort was built entirely using local materials. The lodge is run with sustainable and eco-friendly criteria and grows aromatic herbs and vegetables used in the restaurant. El Almejal offers 12 independent raised cabins with a terrace and hammock, private bathrooms, fan and shutters.

EL CANTIL ECOLODGE ★★★

Facing the sea, with a nice panoramic view and next to the jungle crisscrossed by numerous fresh water streams, El Cantil Ecolodge offers wooden cabins with green shingle roofs and small seating areas in front of each cabin, all connected by wooden paths. South of Nuquí, it is a 50 minute flight from Medellín plus approximately 35 minutes by boat. Seven bedrooms are available with a maximum capacity of six guests each. Each room has a private bathroom, beds with mosquito nets and terrace with hammocks. The lodge features a restaurant, two sun decks and a hammock area. Also available for guests’ enjoyment are boats, surf boards, kayaks, diving equipment and compressors and boogie boards.

ISLA GORGONA ★★

Facilities on the island are simple and rooms are decorated with local objects. Lodging is in a typical wooden cabin divided into two modules, Umantatay A and Umantatay B, each with nine comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, fan, hot water and safety box. The lodge offers a restaurant, TV room, medical services, a scientific research station and a shop selling sweets, shell crafts, park T-shirts and baskets.
