Torres del Fuerte – Copper Canyon ★★★★

Owned and operated by the Torres family this 400 year old casona was home to this family for generations prior to being remodelled into a hotel in 2006. Enjoy your meals in the open air dining patio or in the dining room with its colonial ambiance. The Best Western Lodge at Creel Hotel & Spa is one of the best gateways to Mexico's Copper Canyon. Best Western Lodge has 37 cottage style rooms, bridal suites and penthouses. Rooms are fully equipped to the level of a business hotel, bathrooms with a bath tub, coffee making facilities, hair dryer, purified water, desk and wireless internet. Riverside Lodge – Copper Canyon ★★★

The Riverside Lodge is located near the main square in Batopilas village at the bottom of the Batopilas Canyon. This lodge is a boutique-style hotel and has some fantastic private gardens, hand painted murals and the entire building is brimming with antiques. The 14 bedrooms all have a claw foot bathtub and antique beds, also the lodge has fanciful Moorish style doorways and windows that make you feel as though you’re in another world. Guests can relax in one of the several courtyards or shady patios. The hotel has its own library where guests can browse through old books, antique records and booklets from the days when Batopilas was a bustling silver mining town. Martin, your host, serves a continental breakfast every morning that includes a variety of fresh fruits, home-baked breads and coffee or tea. All the rooms feature daily housekeeping and all bath rooms come with a bath tub.

Sierra Lodge Cerocahui

The Copper Canyon Sierra Lodge is nestled against the side of a small pine-scented valley in the Copper Canyon and is about as far off the beaten track as you can get. Here you’ll find no electricity, no telephones, no TV’s, no radios and no internet. The closest town is Creel which is a 20 minute drive. The lodge is built like a long, low, old fashioned log cabin with a corrugated tin roof. The 18 guest rooms open onto a long tiled front porch, with rustic wooden, hand crafted log chairs. Gas lanterns are strung across the porch. Enjoy fantastic views of the River Cusarare which flows in front of the lodge through the valley and towards a nearby waterfall. The rooms, although rustic in nature, are spacious and feature white plaster and log walls, tiled bathrooms with hot water and bathrobes, homespun cotton bedspreads, beamed ceilings, Indian murals and romantic gas lamps. Each room also has a wood burning stove to keep you warm. All meals are included and the simple hearty food is perfect after a day of hiking to the waterfall, the local painted caves or the village of Cusarare. Guests can dine in a large and cozy dining room which has its own giant stone fireplace.
