Hacienda Temozon
Once the most productive sisal estate in Yucatan, now the Peninsula’s largest and most luxurious hacienda hotel, Hacienda Temozon is the grand dame of plantation estates in the region. Its cattle-market rope-making past is still visible in the ruins and artisans’ workshops that line it, and the 17th-century ruby-red architecture still reigns resplendent, but, in terms of service or style, it couldn’t be more up-to-date. Overlooking the pool, the Yucatecan restaurant, Casa Principal, blends European and Mexican cuisine in the traditional manner of the region, to produce spicy organic dishes and a range of marmalades and jams. Hacienda Santa Rosa
This hotel which is suitable for families is situated near the western coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. Its close proximity to the area’s natural wonders and Mayan sites make it a perfect destination to explore your surroundings. The building, dating back to the 18th century, is surrounded by spectacular grounds, and comprises a total of 11 rooms and suites spread across a single floor. There is also a terrace and garden for guests to relax and enjoy themselves in. The rooms and suites are located at the original building which has been totally restored and adapted. All rooms are spacious, with beautiful bathrooms and come complete with modern amenities. All rooms have a hammock and rooms are decorated in a romantic 19th century style. Hacienda San Jose
Since it restoration in 1998 this exclusive hotel consists of 15 guest rooms and suites conditioned with exquisite details. The accommodations surround an impressive courtyard where you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere and culture of the past. Surrounding the hacienda one can see the land upon which orchards and sugar cane production once flourished. Most of the guestrooms feature 18-foot ceilings with exposed beams and rafters, 10-foot wooden double doors, beautiful wooden beds, dark, tropical hardwood cabinets, and cool tile floors. There is also a fantastic swimming pool surrounded by fruit trees for guests to enjoy along with a Mayan style Spa where you can experience a range of traditional treatments. The Lodge at Chichen Itza sits on 100 acres of beautiful gardens in the centre of the archaeological park, with its own private entrance to the Mayan Temples. Built in traditional Mayan style with wood, stone, native marble, and thatch, these bungalows were created for guests that wish to be at one with nature and to experience the culture that rose to greatness here 1,000 years before. The hacienda Uayamon is a beautifully styled hotel in a renovated 17th Century building. The accommodation is made up of 12 exquisite colonial villas and suites. Each has their own private balcony overlooking jungle gardens. The hotels swimming pool is absolutely fantastic being surrounded by original stone walls and majestic stone pillars rising out of the water. When guests are finished relaxing by the pool or indulging in a spa treatment guests can enjoy a delicious blend of Mexican and international cuisine served in the hotel’s restaurant overlooking the gardens. Hacienda Uayamon has 10 individual, freestanding casitas and 2 suites.
