ESTANCIA RINCÓN DEL SOCORRO

Estancia Rincón del Socorro is a 30,000 acre former cattle ranch on the edge of the Iberá wetlands in Northeastern Argentina that has been made into a nature reserve. The lodge offers six immaculate rooms with the original feel of the 1896 estancia and three small bungalows. The estancia is ideal for nature lovers with bird watchers able to catch a glimpse of the endangered Yellow Cardinal and horse riders to enjoy the vast riding country Socorro has to offer. Boat trips are organized on a lagoon filled with mini crocs and boa constrictors. Other activities include night-walk safaris, nature walks, swimming, fly-fishing for dorado and partaking in gaucho chores such as cattle round-ups.

PUERTO VALLE HOTEL DE ESTEROS

Puerto Valle is a former cattle ranch that sits on the banks of the Paraná River, close to the Esteros del Iberá. Each of the six exclusive guestrooms enjoys a river view and all are stylishly decorated reflecting the natural paradise that surrounds them. Puerto Valle guests can spend their days fauna-spotting in the Iberá wetland, fishing in the Paraná River and discovering inviting trails that lead to eucalyptus plantations, a caiman farm, and a strip of private jungle that is home to howler monkeys, jaguars, maned wolves and capybara, the world's largest rodent. The lodge also offers a bar in the open air and a gourmet restaurant. A pool and a curtained pergola offer a peaceful ambience shaded by towering lapacho trees.
